Gav it makes a biggg difference - you can notice quite a difference even when you move the forks up/down in the triple grips 10mm which changes the rake of the forks.

Pushing them down slows the steering (more stable at higher speed but slower to turn at slow speeds)

So if you have an extra 3mm it will have a much more noticeable affect than just pushing your forks down and make it slower to turn in the slower tighter stuff.
